Our Commitment
Uncle J's Dirty Apron BBQ is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
Measures We Take
- All images include descriptive alternative text
- All form fields have associated labels
- Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
- The website is fully navigable by keyboard (Tab, Enter, Shift+Tab)
- All interactive elements have visible focus indicators
- A skip-to-main-content link is available at the top of every page
- Page language is declared in the HTML for screen readers
- Our menu is presented as crawlable HTML — no image-only or PDF-only menus
- An on-page accessibility widget lets you adjust text size, contrast, motion, and font
- ARIA landmarks, roles, and labels are used throughout the site
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas are still being improved:
- Embedded third-party maps may have limited keyboard accessibility
- Some animated elements may be present even with reduced-motion preferences — use our accessibility widget to disable animations
