1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Uncle J's Dirty Apron BBQ website at unclebbq.com ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. By placing an order through our Site you additionally confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. Online Ordering
When you place an order through our Site, you agree to the following:
- All orders are subject to availability and confirmation
- Prices are as displayed at the time of order and may change without notice
- You must provide accurate name, contact, and payment information
- Orders are final once submitted — please contact us immediately if you need to make a change
- Estimated pickup and delivery times are not guaranteed
- We reserve the right to cancel any order that we reasonably suspect to be fraudulent or placed in bad faith
3. Payment
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge the total amount shown at checkout, including applicable taxes and fees. We do not store your card number — it is handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems. All transactions are encrypted in transit using TLS. We reserve the right to hold, cancel, or refund any payment that triggers our fraud detection systems.
4. Fraud Prevention & Security
We actively monitor orders and account activity for signs of fraud. By using this Site you agree that:
- We may collect your IP address, device information, and session data to detect and prevent fraudulent activity
- Repeated suspicious checkout attempts may result in your IP address being blocked automatically
- We may report confirmed fraud to law enforcement or payment processors
- Fraudulent orders will be cancelled and refunded at our sole discretion
- Abuse of promotional codes, discounts, or rewards through fraudulent means may result in account suspension
5. Refunds and Cancellations
Because we prepare food fresh, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis:
- Contact us within 24 hours of your order if there is an issue
- Refunds for incorrect or missing items will be issued as store credit or to the original payment method at our discretion
- We do not offer refunds for change of mind after an order has been prepared
- Delivery refund disputes involving DoorDash must be submitted through DoorDash's support

6. Delivery
Delivery orders are fulfilled by DoorDash Drive on our behalf. By selecting delivery at checkout, you agree to share your delivery address and order details with DoorDash. We are not responsible for delays or issues that occur after an order has been handed off to the delivery driver.
7. Rewards Program
Our rewards program lets you earn points on qualifying purchases. By participating, you agree that:
- Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the rewards program at any time
- Points may expire after 12 months of account inactivity
- Abuse of the rewards program (e.g., fraudulent orders) may result in account suspension
8. SMS Marketing
By subscribing to our SMS marketing list, you agree to receive recurring automated promotional text messages from Uncle J's Dirty Apron BBQ at the mobile number you provided. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase
- You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or clicking the unsubscribe link included in every text
- After opting out you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts
- Reply HELP to any message or contact us at legal@unclebbq.com for assistance
- We do not charge for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier's standard rates apply
- SMS messages are delivered via Vonage. See their privacy policy at vonage.com for details on how message data is handled
9. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
10. Allergens and Dietary Information
Our menu descriptions and allergen information are provided as a guide only. Our kitchen handles common allergens including gluten, dairy, nuts, soy, and shellfish. We cannot guarantee that any menu item is completely free of allergens. If you have a severe food allergy, please contact us directly before ordering.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, and the Uncle J's Dirty Apron BBQ name — is our property or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this Site without our written consent.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Uncle J's Dirty Apron BBQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order in question.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Will County, Illinois.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. Where required by law, we will notify registered members of material changes by email.
